"Artists of the present are always in conversation with artists of the past,"-David Nolta.
Physicists and philosophers have a similar conceptualization of time. It is an illusion made up of human memories- everything that has ever been, and ever will be, is happening right now. Time is cyclical and fluid; it is not linear. In fashion, past styles are revived and mixed with those of the present.

This collection's main conversation is with Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972). His use of black and play in creating new silhouettes is the driving force behind my thesis.
Other designers throughout history and the present have also pushed me forward as a designer. I have considered them my teachers and mentors since I started designing. You can find my side conversations with some of them throughout the collection.
This is my love letter to those who have inspired me to keep moving forward while finding my voice as a designer.
